---> Who Are We?
Sheboygan Adult Hockey is a recreational no-check adult hockey league located in Sheboygan WI for players over 18 years of age. Our goal is competitive, team-based play with a focus on fun.

---> What Is The Level Of Play, Skill and Age Wise?
The league is made up of players of a variety of skills and ages. The level of play is competitive in an enjoyable environment. We usually don't have the numbers to be exclusive in age or skill categories. There are pre-season drop-in adult hockey sessions that can be used as a guide to the level of play in the league.

---> When Do We Play?
For Winter, mainly Sunday nights running generally from mid-September to early-March.
For Summer, mainly Sunday nights running generally from early-July to late-August.
Game times are determined each year based on ice availability and number of teams. Earliest games will begin around 7:00pm and additional games will start in roughly 75 minute increments. If you have interest outside of those days, dates, and times, see "Are There Other Adult Hockey Options In Sheboygan Besides SAH" and "Are There Other Adult Hockey Options Available in the SAH Offseason" below.

---> Where Do We Play?
All games are played at the Sheboygan Lakers Ice Center.

---> How Many Games Do We Play?
The goal is to play 20 total games per winter season and 10 total games per summer season, made up of a combination of regular season and playoff games. Sometimes external factors require these total number of games as well number of regular season vs playoff games to be adjusted on a year-to-year basis.

---> How Much Does It Cost To Play?
There is a registration fee associated with the league and payment in full is required up front. League fees are set annually based on fixed operational costs and number of expected participants. We have implemented a security deposit structure where a small portion of the registration fee is subject to possible return when end of year budget numbers allow. For winter seasons, the most we have charged is $300 for a skater and $125 for a goalie. Summer seasons cost will be about half the cost of the winter seasons. See "How Do I Register To Play" below.

---> What Does The Registration Fee Cover?
The league registration fee covers each player's portion of the league's fixed costs. This would include, but not be limited to, ice time rental, on and off ice officials, insurance, general league administration, jerseys, SAH scholarship, and league functions such as the end-of-season bust up party and/or mid-season event.

---> How And When Do I Pay?
This will be detailed with the annual registration info. See 'How Do I Register To Play" below.

---> How Do I Register To Play?
Registration information becomes available by August for winter season and March for summer season. Check the website for info. Details on the registration fee, and how and when to pay/register will be provided with that information. Players will pay/register individually, not as a team. Players will need to pay their registration fees in full by the registration fee payment deadline to be eligible to participate in SAH. This deadline will be provided with the annual registration information, as well. Undrafted players may be added to a waiting list. If you would like to register after the registration deadline, see "Can I Join SAH After The Season Has Already Started" below.

---> When I Register, Am I Assigned To A Team?
While not ideal, it's possible that some paid/registered individuals will not actually be placed on a team. This is mainly due to the fact that team roster size is limited (see "How Many Players Are On Each Team" below) and rosters are determined annually via a draft by the captains (see "How Are Team Rosters Determined" below). Undrafted players will be given a full refund of their registration fees (see "Are Refunds Given To Players" below).

---> Can I Join SAH After The Season Has Already Started?
Requests for late addition should be submitted to SAH and are subject to review by league commissioner and team captains. Items such as team roster size and attendance will be reviewed to determine if adding players is an option. Your name may be added to a waiting list if team placement is not immediately possible. See "Are There Other Adult Hockey Options In Sheboygan Besides SAH" below, if team placement is not possible.

---> Are SAH Participants Insured?
SAH participants are insured through the league's independent policy. Contact us for those details, if you need them. Part of each player's registration fee is used to pay a share of the league's policy premium.

---> Is USA Hockey Registration Required To Participate in SAH?
At this time, USA Hockey Registration IS NOT required.

---> How Many Teams Are There?
The number of teams will be determined by registration numbers each season. The league tries to retain a minimum of 4 teams. We have played seasons with 6 and 7 teams. If participation numbers permit, expansion would be considered.

---> How Many Players Are On Each Team?
Roster size is currently limited to 13 or 14 skaters and 1 goalie per team. We feel this roster limitation preserves value when compared to the registration fee. The roster size cap is re-evaluated each season and is subject to change for various operational reasons.

---> How Are Team Rosters Determined?
Each season, the designated team captains hold a draft of eligible players. Eligibility for the draft is determined by each player's registration fee payment status by the registration fee payment deadline.

---> When Is The Team Draft?
The draft occurs annually and is typically held the week before the season begins. This coincides with the registration fee payment deadline. The draft process is closed to the public and players will be notified of team placement at conclusion of the draft.

---> Are Teams Sponsored?
Yes, each team has one or two sponsors per season. The team sponsor's logo is placed on the front of the team's jersey. Players get to keep their jersey at the end of the season.

---> How Do I Become A Sponsor, And What Does It Get Me?
If you'd like to be team sponsor, use the button below to drop us an email. With your sponsorship, you get team naming and logo placement on one team's jersey. Team naming will give you exposure across the entire SAH digital footprint since teams are referenced by their sponsor's name(s). This would include, but is not limited to, our website, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter accounts.

---> Are Refunds Given To Players?
If you are not drafted to a team for any reason, a full refund of your registration fee will be provided (see "When I Register, Am I Assigned To A Team" above). All other requests for refunds should be submitted to SAH and are subject to review by league commissioner.

---> Are There Other Adult Hockey Options In Sheboygan Besides SAH?
Any pay-as-you go options called drop-in adult hockey are scheduled and maintained by the Sheboygan Lakers Ice Center, not by SAH. These would be offered based on ice availability and attendance. The ice season at the Sheboygan Lakers Ice Center is expected to run from early-July to early-March. These sessions typically DO NOT require up-front financial or physical commitment, unlike SAH. The level of play is usually less competitive than SAH. Please contact the Sheboygan Lakers Ice Center for scheduling questions or details.

---> Are There Other Adult Hockey Options Available in the SAH Offseason?
Yes, there are options available, but none are currently available at the Sheboygan Lakers Ice Center. There are league and drop-in options available at several arenas in the region.
